Last week Apple reduced the price of iPhone 5S in India. The new price it got was Rs.24999 which was quite a crowd puller price for Indian consumer. Apple iPhone 5S is the largest selling iPhone for Apple in India. Now the company has made some change in i’s strategy for Indian mobile system. The company has reduced the price of iPhone 6S & 6S Plus in India by 16% which will make these two a little more affordable. It’s just been 2 months & the company has cut the prices fro two models.Apple launched iPhone 6S for 62000 for the base 16Gb variant on October 16.

“The average difference between the price of 6S & 6S plus from launch & now is 15%.” said a top executive at a national retailer.

This price reduction  from iPhone 6 makes upgrade experience attractive for  customers.”

The price difference between the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6s was a lot, so many customers are not willing to upgrade to the new model,” said a senior executive of another national retailer.

This is first time when Apple has brought down the price within 2 months. This seems like apple is taking India as a very serious market now. These two phones were launched from Rs 62000 to 92000 which was 14000-16000 costlier than US,Middle Ease & Hong Kong.

Analyst said that Apple could re-ignite the demand of 6S & 6S plus in India in coming months Now that they have aligned prices, we can see some sales happening in future quarters, which will also sustain Apple in the typically weaker periods of January to September,” Tarun Pathak added.
