Galaxy Note 7 vs Galaxy S7 Edge Camera comparison (Rear & Front)

Samsung released its latest flagship smartphone Galaxy Note 7 with much fanfare and it is proving to be very popular. Galaxy Note 7 comes with a 12 MP rear camera with features like Dual Pixel, phase detection auto-focus, OIS. The rear camera has sensor size of 1/2.6″ and f/1.7 aperture size. It also boasts of a 5 MP front camera with f/1.7, 22mm, dual video call and Auto HDR features (Read the complete specs & features details here).

Here we will compare Galaxy Note 7 cameras with the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge’s cameras. Though both cameras are supposed to have same camera modules, Note 7 comes with latest camera firmware that may give its some edge. So, we will see how Note 7 cameras compare to Galaxy S7 Edge cameras in a YouTube video posted by channel “AskTheAndroidGuy”.

Here is what we observed,

  • In low-light conditions Note 7 camera gathers more light as compared to S7 Edge camera. Note 7 Image also looks clearer.
  • Color reproduction also looks more accurate on Note 7. Samsung may like to update S7 Edge Camera software soon.
  • In case of front cameras also you can notice Note 7 selfies looking better.
