Huawei confirms they left Google Pixel because company didn’t want any ‘Huawei’ branding, confirms VP

Google has already launched the Google Pixel smartphones back jn October. The Pixel smartphones are manufactured by HTC. The company had already confirmed it. It was earlier reported that Google went to Huawei for Pixel smartphones but that deal wasn’t closed.

Now Huawei’s VP Mr. Colin Giles has now confirmed that Google camer to them for the manufacturing of Pixel smartphones. He said that they walked away from Google because Google didn’t want any branding on it. So here we would like to tell our readers that Huawei built the last year’s Nexus 6P and it was great hit for the company. The Nexus 6P came with ‘Nexus’ as well as ‘ ‘Huawei’ branding on it. But this wasn’t the case with Pixel smartphones. Actually Pixel smartphones are touted as ‘Phone from Google’. So this was the reason, Google didn’t want any branding on it.

So finally they selected HTC for manufacturing of Pixel smartphones.
