Sailfish OS maker Jolla have announced a strategic partnership with Africa’s Mifone and collaboration plans with Fairphone. We have already reported about Jolla unveiling sailfish OS smartphone with Intex named as Intex Aqua Fish. So the phone was showcased to public during MWC 2016.It was released with Sailfish OS 2.0 on board.With Sailfish O S, Jolla is focusing on BRICS countries & Sailfish OS is the true competitor to the OS from US. The phone comes bundled with some pre-installed apps like Gaana,Snapdeal etc.

Today Jolla announced partnership with Africa’s first mobile brand mi-Fone to bring Sailfish OS to African countries. Teh first Mi-Phone powered by Sailfish Os is expected to hit the market by Q2/2016.

Another company that Jolla has partnered with is Fairphone for their Sailfish OS. Both the companies have been working on Fairphone 2 to port Sailfish OS 2.0 on it.
