We expect online-offline sales ratio to be 50:50: Rahul Sharma(CEO, Yu Mobiles)

Micromax’s sister company Yu Mobiles have launched a new device yesterday with great specs & for a very competitive price. The device is called YU Yunicorn.

The company CEO Mr. Rahul Sharma was in an interview with PTI where he said many things about the future plans of the company. He also said things related to their entry in the offline channels in Indian market. The company entered to the offline marketing with partnership with Reliance Digital & seems like it was a successful business for the company. He said, “We did a small trial with them (Reliance) and we received an overwhelming response. The online route has done well for us. But there is a huge market opportunity in the offline space and that is growing. That is why, we want to expand our presence in the offline market as well” He added that company wants to be present at nearly more than 50000 places in the country by the end of this year.

He said that they are doing this on their own & getting good response from the market. So company expects it to be nearly half of the total sales, “We are doing this on our own and are appointing distributors… In a year’s time, we expect online-offline sales ratio to be 50:50” though he didn’t mention about the actual sales data & sales targets for future.
